Godhead

We believe in one God who eternally exists as the Godhead or Trinity consisting of three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19). We believe God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are fully divine and are distinct Persons. The three Persons of the Trinity are co-equal, co-eternal, one in essence and power and united in action and will (John 10:29-30; Hebrews 1:1-3).

GOD, THE FATHER

We believe that God the Father is a divine, eternal Person, having a will of His own. He initiates the work of creation (Genesis 1:1; 1:26), redemption and judgement (Ephesians 1:3-6). We believe that God is Father of all humanity through creation and a spiritual Father to those who believe (Romans 8:14; 1 John 3:1; 1 John 5:1-2).

JESUS CHRIST, THE SON

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, having a will of His own. He came as the Messiah establishing the Kingdom of God. He was born of the virgin Mary (John 1:1-2; 1:14; Matthew 1:18-23), lived a sinless life and died for our sings (Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Peter 3:18). He arose bodily from the dead on the third day and ascended into Heaven to the right hand of the Father (1 Corinthians 15:3-20; Acts 1:9-11). He has prepared a place for us as our High Priest and is coming again for His Church, at which point He will judge all humanity (John 14:1-6; Hebrews 10:10-14; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Matthew 25:31-46).

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is an equal member of the Holy Trinity, fully divine and having a will of His own (Romans 8:26). The Spirit makes the reality of sin, the need for righteousness, and the coming judgement apparent to humanity. The Spirit helps the believer to understand God’s Truth and to know God’s will (John 16:7-15). The believer is filled and sealed by the Holy Spirit, bringing comfort, guidance, assurance, spiritual gifts, and the power of God (Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:9; 12:4-11; 12:13; Titus 3:5-7).
